Unit 8

As many of you who have been reading my blog know, I love the visualizations we have done in this term. I am a very visual person and it nice to know I can use that to my advantage. Out of all the ones we have done I can think of two that I enjoyed the most. The first one was from early on in the term. I believe it was called Crime of the Century. I just loved how it related each part of you to a color. It was so easy to concentrate with such a great visual. The second one I enjoyed was probably the last one we did. Track 4 on the Dacher CD. Again this was a visualization and being able to visualize my grandmother was amazing.

I can and plan on utilizing such visualizations on a daily basis. I think it will help me grow mentally, physically and spiritually. It will help me through stressful time and time where I really need keep my eye on the prize. I can visualize my goals and make them so much easier to achieve.

I think that it is great that you have found a way to work with whole healing in a way that works with you best. In this way you are individualizing healing to your own needs. You have a great idea here about visualizing your goals. This seems like it will not only help you to realize your goals, it will also help you to keep your passion and motivation in fulfilling them. Good luck Kristin!

  2. Hello Kristin excellent work once again here with this weeks blogging exercise. I had a great time reading your thoughts on the exercise we had to perform and found your response to be quite useful in my everyday life. Visualization is often the key to achieving goals we never thought could be possible. If we visualize and see where we want to be in the next five years it can be achieved and most likely will happen. Without using visualization as an everyday exercise we as people will have a more difficult time seeing ourselves in better positions financially, mentally, emotionally, and intellectually. Before we set a goal for ourselves in life we must always imagine it in our minds first and make sure it is something we can see ourselves doing from this day forth. Would you agree with me if i said that i wanted to be a doctor but yet i couldnt imagine myself giving needles everyday, taking blood, or being able to handle death? It wouldnt seem practical is all im saying, so for this exercise it really helps us become aware of what we are capable of becoming and gets rid of all of the choices that arent a perfect fit for us mentally. Great work here and i wish you the best for the end of this term ;)

  3. I hope you keep it up! Keep your eye's on the prize. I am sure it will definitely help you through some tough times and help strengthen you mentally, physically and spiritually. It can be difficult to stay on track especially if you don't always have the time or if your are distracted by others or personal issues but keep it up! It sounds like you are really motivated to keep this going so best of luck!
